Professional Experience
Bárbara is a founding partner of Paxlegal and heads the firm's Immigration & Nationality practice. She has considerable experience in managing relocation projects and foreign investments in Portugal. Throughout her professional career, she has also developed specific skills in real estate and family law.
Bárbara is a recognized member of the Uglobal Verified community of professionals and serves as a consultant for Portugal at Davies & Associates, Immigration Lawyers (United States of America).
Before founding Paxlegal, Bárbara was a partner at PMCM Advogados, where she led the Immigration practice. She also served as an advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State of the Minister of Justice from 2003 to 2004 and worked as a lawyer at the Ministry of Culture's General Inspection of Cultural Activities from 2006 to 2007.
Academic Background
Bárbara holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law at Lusíada University. She has a postgraduate degree in Taxation from the Instituto Superior de Gestão and has attended postgraduate courses in Copyright, Administrative Litigation, and E-Commerce at the University of Lisbon Law School.
