Professional Experience

João has been a lawyer at Paxlegal since September 2024.

João has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and completed a postgraduate course in Migration and Nationality Law at the “Autónoma Academy” (“Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa”). Apart from this background, he also attended the post-graduate course in Corporate Law at the Private Law Research Center of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and recently completed the complementary training course in Administrative Litigation Practice at the Lisbon Regional Council of the Portuguese Bar Association.

João has been providing legal assistance to individual clients, particularly in the areas of Immigration, Nationality, Real Estate and Administrative Dispute Resolution.

João completed his traineeship for the Portuguese Bar Association at Rogério Fernandes Ferreira & Associados, where he was part of the Private Clients team, and later joined the Litigation and Real Estate team at FIO Legal, always with a strong collaboration in matters related to Immigration and Nationality Law.

Academic Background

João has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2020) and a postgraduate degree in Migration and Nationality Law from the “Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa” (2023). In 2024, he completed the complementary training course in Administrative Litigation Practice at the Lisbon Regional Council of the Portuguese Bar Association.
