Professional Experience

Rita Botelho Moniz serves as Of Counsel at Paxlegal, bringing extensive expertise in Portuguese, international, and European tax law. She specializes in assisting individuals, family offices, real estate funds, and companies in sectors such as real estate development and management, health, catering, and other large and medium-sized enterprises.

Before joining Paxlegal, Rita was a lawyer at Sérvulo & Associados until 2020. She also worked as a consultant in international and European tax in Luxembourg and the Netherlands from 2015 to 2017.

Academic Background

Rita holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon. She earned an LL.M. in International and European Tax Law from the University of Maastricht and a postgraduate degree in Taxation, specializing in Advanced Corporate Taxation, from the Faculty of Law at the Portuguese Catholic University.

Publications

Rita has authored and co-authored several articles on taxation for IBFD since 2018.
